Van 3 tot 8 augustus 2015 zal ik, samen met Ladislas de Monge, een workshop verzorgen in Ohey, niet ver van Namur, België. From 3 to 8 August 2015 I will, together with Ladislas de Monge, run a workshop in Ohey, not far from Namur, Belgium.

We hebben de workshop de volgende titel gegeven: Art du denuement, Opportunisme et récupération en arts. We named the workshop: Art of destitution (Art in time of short resources - opportunism and recovery in art).

We willen tijdens deze workshop proberen terug te keren naar de basis; hoe kun je beeldend werken wanneer je het moet doen met wat de omgeving je geeft. Hoe kun je je ideeën  verbeelden met minimale middelen. During this workshop we will try to go back to the basis; how can we represent our ideas when we have to work with what the surroundings are giving us. How can we express ourselves with minimal resources.

Als vanzelfsprekend leidt dit tot een directe communicatie met je omgeving, met de grond waarop je staat en wat deze je laat zien, met wat de omgeving je aan materialen biedt. Benieuwd hoe dit je werk zal beïnvloeden? Laat je verrassen door wat er op je af komt, de omgeving bied je alles om er iets bijzonders van te maken. Obviously this leads to a direct communication with our surroundings, with the materials that these surroundings have to offer. Feel like finding out how this will infuence your work? Let yourself be surprised by what will come to you, the neighbourhood offers you everything to make something special out of this.

De workshop zal zich afspelen in en rond een traditionele boerderij uit het begin van de 18^de eeuw. De voertalen zullen frans en engels zijn. The workshop will take place in and around a tradition farmhouse from the early 18th century. The languages employed will be Frensh and English.

Tijdens de week verblijf je ‘intern’ in de boerderij in eenvoudige, ruime kamers. De workshop inclusief verblijf kost € 320,--. During this week you will stay in the farm in simple, spacious rooms. The workshop including your stay will cost € 320,--.
